Never Trust Any Appliance Brand
Looking for a new appliance for your home and thinking about the best appliance brands? Well, you may need to think deeper than you thought. Let’s dive in.
We’ve already discussed that you shouldn’t trust Kenmore appliances simply because Kenmore is not Kenmore. The company outsources all the appliances to different manufacturers, and your washer or refrigerator might be virtually anything, from GE to Samsung.
But nowadays, it’s not only about Kenmore. Other appliance brands also do a lot of stuff behind the curtain, and you need to beware before looking for the best appliance brands.
Bosch is one of the best appliance brands, hands down. But there is information that all Bosch standalone fridges are made in China by Midea. When you order parts for such fridges, they come all wrapped in hieroglyphs, and the main control boards have Midea’s name printed on them.
We’re not saying that Midea is a terrible brand (although it’s lower class than Bosch anyway), but when you buy a beef burger, you’re not asking for a soy patty, right? You want to get what you’re buying.
So be aware that it’s not beef all the time. The worst part? During one of the annual ASTI conferences, Midea’s official representative stated that their refrigerator sealed systems are not officially repairable!
Now let’s come to the ranges. Some Bosch ranges are made by SMEG, an Italian manufacturer.
Top-load washing machines are made by Midea, as well as low-entry fridges.

GE appliances have been acquired by Haier company in 2015. Now some appliances still have GE technical roots, while others are 100% Chinese units with the GE logo stamped on them. Watch the video below.
